This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage and Lead a team of engineers/technicians and administrative personnel to perform the maintenance scope of work required for the ALTAIR radar
  • Manage systems engineering team and set goals/performance measurements.
  • Oversee, measure and assess support for performance.
  • Conceptualize, plan and support the execution of projects to increase efficiencies.
  • Support all aspects of engineering efforts to support sustainment of the program.
  • Integration, test and transition support of projects
  • Develop, deploy and oversee execution of engineering processes and procedures.
  • Follow company standards and change management policies.
  • Lead and direct requirements and architecture support.
  • Lead deficiency and root cause analysis efforts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in engineering project prioritization and technology road map.
  • Maintain customer relationships and provide presentations to the customer. Interface with Government oversite personnel and MIT technical advisors.
  • Identify and resolve issues, and handle escalation and communication to management.
  • Support Basis of Estimates (BOE) and Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) estimates for new sustainment projects and support proposal efforts on new development projects.
  • Coordinate staff training on systems engineering processes as needed.
  • Manage budgets in excess of 1.5M to meet company expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Must be proficient in technical discussions in the Electrical/RF/Transmitter/Receiver, Mechanical, Digital, Software and Systems engineering disciplines.
  • Must be able to multi-task and effectively communicate in meetings
  • Ability to manage a range of employee personalities.
  • Must be able to efficiently delegate.
  • Ability to speak to both internal and external customers and make real time decisions in the best interest of the company and government.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize and execute assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in working across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to act as a team builder, with an orientation towards group dynamics in order to create synergy with assigned personnel.
  • Ability to effectively monitor a constantly changing and evolving work environment; to timely meet short timelines, while balancing stringent contract requirements.
  • Project management and project controls experience with a good understanding of EVM and Forecasting, desired.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant STEM discipline.
  • Ten (10) or more years of technical experience in an engineering field.
  • Three (3) or more years managing technical projects and technical personnel, desired.
  • Master's degree in Engineering and/or P.E. certified, desired.
  • Possess leadership and supervisory skills that demonstrate or indicate a high potential for successful direction of an organization comprised of both US employees and local nationals.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.A.G.K.A driver's license.
  • Willingness to work extended shifts to support the mission schedule; other projects as dictated by the Range schedule, and off-hours project implementation, as may be required.
