INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS...

1. Summer Internship will start May 27th (Wednesday) and end on July 31st (Friday)
2. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater at time of application
3. At time of application, you must be enrolled in an educational institution

SUMMARY...

Spectrum Reach offers opportunities to students who are motivated and eager to learn about the media business and gain valuable experience in a corporate environment.

The Spectrum Reach intern will assist in the development, coordination and execution of special events to promote Spectrum Reach, as well as provide onsite event support to the Event Marketing team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES...

• Support the Event Marketing team through a variety of projects including brainstorming, researching event marketing vendors, venues, event concepts and promotional merchandise.
• Contribute to conception and development of events and marketing materials and assist with organizing information for post event recaps
• Attend Spectrum Reach events and assist onsite as needed
• Assist team with event marketing budgets and reconciliation process
• Assist team with the development and execution of internal and external Spectrum Reach events.
• Assist with creating detailed event timelines, deliverables and status documents for each event
• Assist Event Marketing team with General Administrative duties: ie: Organize event RSVP's, assist with shipping of materials, coordination of vendor invoices, meeting notes etc.
• Compile event best practices and present new and exciting ideas to event team to be used for future events.
• Attend weekly status meeting, assist with team priorities as assigned.
• Contribute to the development of event marketing collateral including event one sheets, brochures, itinerary and all client communication onsite.
• Track and compile social media, internal communications and all 360 marketing event results to be utilized in post event recaps.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideal candidate is majoring in Marketing, Media or Communications.
• Knowledge of cable television, event marketing or public relations is a plus.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with proven ability to work collaboratively with Leadership to shape and influence client-specific campaigns.
• Must be able to work independently on a project basis and meet frequent deadlines.
• Excellent team and project-management skills.
• Demonstrate "innovative" thinking and new ideas.
• Extensive experience with Word, Excel, Power Point and similar software; HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator familiarity helpful.
