Position Summary/Department Summary:

The Department of Pediatric Occupational Therapy at Boston Children's Hospital works with patients whose ability to participate in daily life is limited due to an injury, illness, or developmental issue. We help patients strengthen their existing skills and - when needed - learn how to work within their limitations so they can take part in activities at home, school, and in the community. We are seeking a full time Occupational Therapist in Boston. This unique position will cover inpatient, and will offer interdisciplinary clinical opportunities in other areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction in accordance with established departmental and professional practice guidelines, standards and protocols.
  • Performing evaluations, assigning occupational therapy diagnoses
  • Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals
  • Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs
  • Instructing and educating patients/families
  • Arranging follow-up services as needed
Minimum Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience:
  • One plus year of Pediatric hospital-based OT experience preferred

Licensure/Qualifications:
  • Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of MA

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus!
Schedule is M-F; Weekend/Holiday Rotation

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
