The Office of Audit and Compliance (OAC) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Senior Auditor serving UVA Health. The Office of Audit and Compliance assists UVA's Board of Visitors and UVA Health management in the discharge of their oversight, management, and operating responsibilities by providing independent assurance and consulting services to the UVA Health community. The Senior Auditor leads or supports value-added operational, financial, IT, clinical, and compliance audits and consulting engagements. The role includes conducting risk assessments, testing transactions and internal controls, analyzing business processes and regulatory requirements, managing engagement scope and timelines, and communicating practical opportunities to strengthen controls, reduce compliance risk, and improve operational and financial performance. Senior Auditors work both independently and collaboratively, coordinate and review the work of assigned auditors, and help coach less-experienced team members. We welcome candidates with internal audit, public accounting, or healthcare compliance backgrounds. The position also offers meaningful opportunities to strengthen communication, writing, data analysis, and AI skills and to build relationships across UVA Health with professionalism and integrity.
