POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for technical/production support, process/product development and optimization of Aerospace and Industrial gas turbine systems for assigned areas and its applicability to NPI, Repair and OEM businesses. Supporting project teams producing new designs, repairs, and processes; employing Lean tools and methodologies to positively impact the business metrics.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:



  • Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities.
  • Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes, routers, and BOMs
  • Works with cost accounting to define cycle & takt times to generate standard hour measurements on the shop floor
  • Assist in data collection, scrubbing, and refinement of capacity studies
  • Collects data and maintains metrics using Microsoft Office suite
  • Supports engineering staff with Material Review Board determinations
  • Data management for engineering support of ERP implementation


Qualifications


EDUCATION:



  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial engineering or another related field required
  • 30+ hours of engineering core and degree related courses completed preferred
  • Position requires excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, collaborative work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and excellent computer skills.


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
