IT SPECIALIST

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as backup to Systems Manger during vacation or time away from the hotel.
• Maybe on call on weekend and evening might be required.
• Serve as backup administrator in the following areas:
  
  
  
  • Opera Oracle
  • Network infrastructure
  • Microsoft Servers Environments
  • MICROS Oracle
  • Amadeus Salesforces
  • Mobile
  • WIFI infrastructure
  • Windows updates, patches, and upgrade
  • User management and migration
  • Other various system
  
  
  
  
• Annual Goals: Assist in maintaining system goals and policy up to date
• Focus on Risk Management functions of IT

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Microsoft Server/Desktop Environment
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange administration
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications Office suites and Office 365
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server operating system ecosystem
• Knowledge of backup like software like Veaam, Datto
• Have general knowledge of PC / server hardware
• Proficiency with general networking topology, TCP/IP, VPN
• Proficient in troubleshooting and not limited to: hardware and software
• Knowledge and work experience of Hotel Information System will be helpful

Work Conditions

• Most tasks are performed in a team environment and with minimal direct supervision.
• Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
• Sitting occurs approximately 80% of the time.
• 20% of tasks are performed from non-seated position. These tasks may include, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual function being those of near, color vision, and depth perception.
• Half of the work tasks are performed on carpeted areas, while the remaining half are performed on hard surfaces.
