The Technology, Data, and Intelligence Team

Okta is the leading independent identity provider. The Technology, Data, and Intelligence (TDI) organization is the engine that powers Okta's global workforce, providing the technology and systems that enable our employees to do their best work.

This highly strategic role drives the execution of enterprise productivity as a first-class citizen. You will lead the evolution of enterprise productivity and artificial intelligence through the delivery of Okta's Collaboration and Productivity applications. You will own and evolve Okta's core productivity and collaboration platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, and Gemini, ensuring they remain intuitive, secure, and measurably improve employee productivity.

In this role, you will define roadmaps, measure adoption and outcomes, and position internal productivity tooling as a strategic differentiator. This work will redefine the TDI function as a value creator for Okta, leveraging internal tools to maximize operational scale and impact. You will translate TDI productivity strategy into executable engineering plans, lead the delivery and evolution of internal productivity platforms, and ensure solutions measurably improve how Okta operates. You will partner closely with the team to execute against defined roadmaps, drive adoption through technical excellence, and elevate TDI as a trusted engineering organization that delivers durable, high-impact internal platforms.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of AI-powered productivity services-from ideation and deployment to continuous operations-to improve service delivery and automate tasks.
• Launch and manage an "Employee Productivity Suite" as a cohesive product, overseeing its entire lifecycle from strategy and roadmap development to execution, adoption tracking, and measurement of productivity gains to demonstrate clear business value.
• Drive initiatives to enhance and secure our employee collaboration software, boosting efficiency and ensuring it aligns with current industry standards.
• Hire, develop, mentor, and retain extraordinary talent for the distributed team of Productivity Engineers.
• Manage service and business expectations and prioritize resource allocation.
• Ensure the security and compliance of TDI Engineering productivity and collaboration applications and systems.
• Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Address friction, manual processes, and disparate systems that impact employee quality of life and hinder innovation.

What you'll bring to the role

• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 8+ years of experience in technical leadership and people management.
• Proven experience leading the deployment and operation of AI-driven solutions or machine learning models to solve enterprise challenges.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of collaboration, messaging, and productivity applications.
• Experience working on Identity and Access Management software and concepts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience navigating security and compliance certification audits (e.g., FedRAMP, CIS, SOX, SOC2, PCI) is preferred.
• B.S. or relevant work experience.
