Overview

The AVP, Head of Innovation Lab will lead the organization's digital transformation by driving innovation in AI, automation, and next-generation digital platforms. This role will spearhead initiatives that leverage emerging technologies to optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and create new revenue streams. The leader will collaborate across business units to identify opportunities for automation, implement AI-driven solutions, and scale digital capabilities enterprise-wide. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.



Responsibilities

    Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute a roadmap focused on AI, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and advanced digital platforms.
  • Technology Leadership: Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies that improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer engagement.
  • AI & Automation Initiatives: Lead projects that integrate AI models, predictive analytics, and automation tools into core business processes.
  • Digital Platform Development: Oversee design and deployment of scalable digital platforms that support omnichannel experiences and data-driven insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, operations, and business leaders to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
  • Governance & Metrics: Define KPIs for innovation success, including ROI, adoption rates, and operational impact.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a team of AI engineers, automation specialists, and digital product managers.
  • Vendor & Partnership Management: Identify strategic partnerships with tech providers and startups to accelerate innovation.


Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

- 10+ years of experience in technology innovation, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on AI and automation.

- Proven track record of implementing AI-driven solutions and digital transformation initiatives.

- Deep understanding of emerging technologies such as machine learning, RPA, cloud platforms, and data analytics.

- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.

- Ability to translate complex technological concepts into business value.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

- Collaborative and influential across all organizational levels.

The expected salary range for this role is $131,200-$200,000/year.
