Position Summary: The Electrical Maintenance Technician will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial machines (Braiders, Cabling, and Extrusion) used in manufacturing and production operations and assist in training any junior Maintenance Technicians.

1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm, overtime opportunities may be available during week and weekend hours

Pay: $25-$32/hr

Responsibilities:



  • Ensures proper operation of all equipment and machines, such as power generators, cablers, braiders, extruders, air compressors, pneumatics, and PLCs.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and machine tools for fabrication of parts and additions.
  • Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms, foundations, and running conduit.
  • Conducts safety inspections of facilities and machines.
  • Create material lists and submit purchase requests for MRO supplies.
  • Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility.
  • Train junior level maintenance technicians and inspect the quality of performed maintenance work.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.



Required Education/ Abilities:



  • High school diploma required, vocational school or Associate's degree highly preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with electrical maintenance required, experience in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics is required
  • Ability to use/ operate hand tools, power tools, and machine tools, such as lathes is required.
  • Knowledge with PLCs and VFDs is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, and basic computer skills.
  • Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws.



Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of ($25-$32 per hour), plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
