As a Security Officer - Access Control Banking Center in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, maintaining compliance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report irregularities.
• Document and report access control violations, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate for the location, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
