About the Role

This internship will gain exposure to project portfolio management or data analytics, and emerging delivery practices within AltaGas. This role supports the department's efforts to improve project execution, enhance reporting, and explore innovative tools and technologies. Interns will learn how projects are governed, how data informs decisions, and how next-generation solutions drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Delivery & Execution

  • Learn how the department supports planning, coordination, and oversight of projects across the organization.

  • Observe and assist with maintaining portfolio visibility through reporting and documentation.

  • Gain exposure to governance processes and how risks, timelines, and resources are managed.

  • Support general administrative and organizational tasks that keep projects on track.

Data Analytics & Next-Gen Delivery

  • Learn how data is collected, analyzed, and used to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

  • Assist with organizing information for dashboards or reports that provide leadership insights.

  • Explore how new tools and technologies (automation, AI, digital platforms) are evaluated and introduced.

  • Support general research and documentation to help teams adopt innovative practices.

What You'll bring

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working with basic office tools and eager to learn new technologies.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Excel or other data tools is an asset.

  • Interest in project management and process improvement.

  • Curiosity about digital transformation and automation.

  • Basic understanding of business or technical concepts.
