The UHS Corporate Reimbursement Department is hiring a Program Manager - Reimbursement to work with assigned behavioral hospitals to support hospital reimbursement activities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare Medicare, Medicaid and various state cost reports on behalf of assigned hospitals and coordinates audits of those cost reports by the respective payer
  • Provide on-going hospital reimbursement consulting services (e.g. compliance, billing, financial pro forma analysis) to UHS corporate business office, regional finance and behavioral health facility executive staff with moderate level of support by the Director of Reimbursement
  • Ensure optimum participation in Medicaid Supplemental Payment Programs as assigned and maintains integrity of related accounting activities
  • Stay abreast of federal and state reimbursement programs / regulations as they relate to Behavioral hospital reimbursement activities
  • Perform reviews of annual Medicare/Medicaid cost report filings and related journal entries as assigned by the Director of Reimbursement - BH

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience Medicare and Medicaid reporting.

  • Advanced understanding of Medicare and Medicaid Cost Report methodology and related principles of reimbursement for behavioral hospitals

  • Proficiency with software used to prepare Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports

  • Basic understanding of hospital accounting principles related to journal entries and maintenance of trial balance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word

  • Effective communicator, orally and in writing

  • Proficiency in simultaneously managing multiple projects

  • Efficient and effective administrative and organizational skills for work flow
