Responsibilities

BRC Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attain working experience and knowledge of requirements for the Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard (BRCGS) and third-party auditors such as HACCP and USDA.

  • Conduct audits of procedures used in all areas of the plant and issue a completed report with corrective actions to relevant managers and supervisors.

  • Maintain schedules to stay on track with QA task calendar and training.

  • Follow-up with managers to ensure that corrective actions to deviations are being completed in a timely manner.

  • Enter data from records related to product safety, legality, and quality systems.

  • Write and maintain internal manuals to include pertinent information related to Quality, BRCGS, USDA, and Department of Agriculture

  • Assist with various data collection projects.

  • Assist QA Manager and HACCP Coordinator with traceability exercises.

  • Manage and control the document control program

  • Cross train in other Quality Department disciplines to be able to assist with coverage of call offs and vacations in other positions.

  • Perform document reviews, internal auditing, facilitating customer audits, analysis of data, training of production management and personnel, development and implementation for corrective and preventive actions.

  • Assist Corporate in performing internal BRC audits.

  • Ensure overall Quality System Integration throughout all plant departments; perform monthly BRC requirements, Quality, and Housekeeping Audits.

  • Conduct plant GMP's audits, participate in eye level and intensified food safety inspections. Serve as Lead on facility audits.

  • Conduct mock BRC audits to prepare facility for actual audit Strive for "A" grade.

  • Some travel required
  • Other Duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.



Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the BRC Coordinator position should possess the following:

  • Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) And BRC (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard) procedures and expectations

  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization

  • Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

  • Organized, detail oriented, reliable and resourceful
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Availability to travel as needed

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
