Software Developer, Eswatini - Data.FI

Palladium is currently seeking a Software Developer to support the implementation of the Data for Implementation (Data.FI) award in Eswatini. Data.FI is a five-year global project funded by Department of State, whose goal is to accelerate and sustain access to high-quality data to expedite HIV epidemic control and maintenance.

Data.FI aims to improve global, regional, and national in-depth analysis of HIV epidemiologic and programmatic data. The analysis can then be directly applied to expedite the achievement of PEPFAR targets. Data.Fi focus also includes direct support to host-country governments to enhance existing HIS, thereby informing management responses to well-defined gaps in HIV and AIDS programming and sustaining impact by supporting the transition of activities to local partners.

The Software Developer is a full-time position based in Eswatini.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

*The primary role will be to work with development team in all aspects of software design and coding, including testing.
*Participating in peer code reviews to improve the quality of code written by other team members.
*Testing software for bugs or other issues that may affect functionality or the user experience.
*Reviewing documentation about new technology releases or product updates to ensure understanding of how the new system works.
*Work with development teams and senior software Architect to ideate software solutions.
*Managing the codebase, attend design meetings, write code, fix bugs, and assist the Software Developers in all design-related tasks.
*Ensure the continuous availability and use of MoH applications to support health data and information management.

Required Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related degree
*Proficiency in C# and .NET Core technologies
*Experience in mobile app development with Android Studio (Java/Kotlin), Flutter (Dart), React Native, Ionic, iOS development or related
*Demonstrated experience in DBMS application such as MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres SQL and MySQL
*Experience in PowerBI, DHIS2 and/or Superset will be an added advantage.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Great attention to detail
*Written and oral proficiency in English and Siswati
*Must be legally authorized to work in Eswatini.
*Must include a portfolio with sample work or URL links to projects in their CV (Mandatory)
