Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Accountable for providing controls, software and instrumentation technical support to process equipment, facilities and utilities.

  • Support site by providing a good knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems, principles, and procedures.

  • Assist the development and implementation of strategic efforts such as Control Systems Design Specifications, (SOO) Sequence of Operations, PID's and (RCA) Root Cause Analysis.

  • Review, update and approve Control Systems (Hardware, Software, DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI Screens), equipment standards and User Requirement Specifications (URS).

  • Program PLC, DCS and HMI applications for automated process equipment and environmental using software such as: Foxboro, Siemens, Honeywell, Rockwell RSLogix , RSLogix 500 Series, Omron, Panelbuilder 32 and RS View, Wonderware and Factory Talk ME.

  • Support projects related to design, commissioning, and performance improvement of automated equipment. Actively participate and support equipment troubleshooting and/or plant shutdown activities.

  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in making and proposing improvements and modifications to automated systems.

  • Provide technical support to Validation, Automation, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance with technical assessments, troubleshooting and investigation reports (IR's). Perform revisions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), as required.

  • Learn and comply with company policies and requirements of regulatory agencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required. Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience is required.
