Your Team, Your Impact
As We are seeking a visionary Architect to lead system-level design and roadmap strategy for next-generation Enterprise switches, PHYs, and retimers. This role combines deep technical expertise, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership to drive innovative solutions across enterprise, cloud, AI, and carrier markets. within Marvell's Enterprise Networking Business unit, you will be the strategic technical leader guiding the direction and customer adoption of Marvell's industry-leading Ethernet PHY, SerDes, and retimer products across 1G-200G+ segments.
You will set the architectural vision for customer engagements, drive key design wins at Tier-1 hyperscale, enterprise, and carrier accounts, and ensure the successful production ramp of complex high-speed connectivity solutions. You'll influence product roadmap, own critical executive-level technical relationships, and serve as one of Marvell's most senior external technical voices.

What You Can Expect

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CE, CS, or related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in Enterprise Switch, high-speed connectivity, Ethernet PHY, SerDes, mixed-signal ICs, or system architecture roles.
  • Strong system-level understanding of Enterprise switching architectures: data plane, control plane, buffering, latency, and scale.
  • Deep expertise in high-speed interconnects, Ethernet protocols, traffic management architectures, and packet processing.
  • Ability to engage in deep, technical discussions with customers on switch architecture.
  • Proven leadership of architecture or applications teams supporting Tier-1 enterprise, cloud, or hyperscale accounts.
  • Hands-on experience in high-speed board design, signal integrity, system modeling, and lab diagnostics (oscilloscopes, analyzers, traffic generators).
  • Strong technical communication skills for executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python/TCL, automation frameworks, and system-level diagnostics.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple strategic customer programs.
  • Willingness to travel globally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in architecture, systems engineering, or applications engineering organizations.
  • Experience defining semiconductor product roadmaps or participating in standards bodies.
  • Background in technical sales strategy, solution architecture, or executive-level customer engagement.
  • Experience with Enterprise switching silicon, systems, or platform architecture.

What We're Looking For

Key Responsibilities Strategic Technical Leadership
  • Define system-level architectures for next-generation Switch, PHY, and retimer solutions.
  • Guide global customer strategy and align cross-functional teams across silicon, firmware, systems, and marketing.
  • Represent customer requirements and industry trends to influence multi-year product and roadmap planning.
  • Anticipate emerging technologies and define long-term architectural direction.
Customer Architecture Engagement
  • Lead high-level technical discussions with CTOs, Chief Architects, and Distinguished Engineers at Tier-1 customers.
  • Translate complex requirements into scalable, manufacturable system architectures.
  • Oversee architecture reviews, PCB design guidance, signal integrity strategies, and system-level debug.
Product & Roadmap Definition
  • Partner with silicon architects, engineering leaders, and product management to shape next-generation products, standards participation, and ecosystem strategy.
  • Assess emerging technologies, new interface standards, and market shifts.
  • Build and maintain performance models to evaluate trade-offs in latency, power, bandwidth, scalability, and cost.
Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead and mentor senior architects, principal engineers, and global applications teams.
  • Establish best practices for system design, customer engagement, and technical documentation.
  • Scale the architecture function to support rapid product and market growth.
Executive Technical Evangelism
  • Deliver technical briefings, competitive positioning, and solution proposals to senior executives.
  • Serve as a spokesperson in customer meetings, industry forums, and technical summits.
  • Develop architecture guides, white papers, and solution blueprints.
Cross-Functional Influence
  • Collaborate with silicon, software, systems, and product teams for cohesive solutions.
  • Support customer bring-up, field trials, interoperability testing, and high-volume production ramps.
  • Document architecture concepts, specifications, performance analyses, and modeling methodologies.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

202,560 - 303,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
