The Opportunity

Join our Customer Innovation revolution as we partner with global brands in building software that generates true value, guided by customer usage and author-centric simplicity. As an Engineering Manager in the AEM Co-Innovation Engineering (ACE) team, you'll play a critical role in evolving Experience Manager product development to be truly customer-centric and driven by collaborative AI-first innovation. This is not a traditional engineering management role. It's an opportunity to redefine how enterprise software is built, together with our customers, in an AI-powered world.

What You'll Do

Inspire & Accelerate Innovation
Lead a team of exceptional AEM engineers to develop innovative product features that solve real business needs and demonstrate measured value. Champion an AI-first mentality and modern development practices, ensuring the team is continually experimenting and rapidly iterating to optimize solutions.

Lead with Customer Obsession
Build trusted relationships with Adobe's most strategic customers, while developing a deep understanding of their unique business needs. Represent Adobe as their engineering leadership sponsor, owning outcomes to ensure they realize measurable value with AEM.

Cultivate a Growth Culture
Mentor engineers to think boldly, deliver with quality, fail fast, and continually expand their skills. Champion inclusivity, curiosity, and accountability to maintain a thriving, high-impact team environment.

Connect Vision to Execution
Bridge the gap between customer innovation and Adobe's product organization. Partner closely with Product and Go-to-Market leaders to align customer needs with product vision. Track and communicate innovation impact using clear, outcome-based metrics.

Recruit and Develop Top Talent
Attract and build an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineering team who blend deep technical skills with an AI-first mentality, customer empathy, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

What You Bring

  • Proven Engineering Leadership: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years leading high-performing teams that deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

  • AEM Mastery: Deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager and Experience Cloud implementations, including AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.

  • AI-Driven Curiosity: Hands-on engagement with modern AI tools, models, and architectures, with a drive to apply them creatively in enterprise contexts while continually learning.

  • Customer Centricity: A passion for solving real business challenges with simplicity and measurable value.

  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A record of building, experimenting, and iterating at speed, with the humility to fail fast when things don't go as planned.

  • Innovative Approach: Ability to spot patterns across industries, synthesize ideas, and translate emerging tech into practical innovation.

  • Executive Presence: Strong storytelling and collaboration skills that inspire confidence from customers, peers, and executives alike.

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $147,900 -- $293,250 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $202,500 - $293,250
In New York, the pay range for this position is $202,500 - $293,250

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
