The Senior Manager Procedural Sites reports to the Sr. Director of Perioperative Services and manages the clinical and administrative operations in Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, EP, the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology. The position supports the department by providing oversight of patient care delivery, staff supervision and regulatory compliance.The role contributes to these clinical areas by ensuring efficient operations, service quality, and strengthening program delivery. Working under limited supervision, the position is responsible for overseeing coordination of department resources to promote a positive and effective experience for both patients and staff aligned with clinical best practices.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:


  • Oversight of clinical operations of procedural sites: Directs and coordinates patient care in Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, EP, Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology ensuring safe, evidence-based procedures.

  • Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives: develops, implements and monitors department quality indicators, KPI's, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction metrics to meet organizational and regulatory standards (e.g. Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA)

  • Clinical collaboration: collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other departments to coordinate patient care and procedure scheduling; participate in committees, task forces, interdisciplinary forums related to patient care.

  • Manage department finances and supply chain: develop and manage departmental budget including capital and operational expenses, monitor productivity and cost per procedure, supply inventory and cost effectiveness, and financial performance metrics.

  • Manage staff and department resources: recruit, hire, train, and evaluate performance of nursing staff; provide strategic direction and oversight of services; manage staffing levels and workflow to optimize efficiency, throughput, and resource utilization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)

  • minimum of 7 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 5 years in management or leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • ACLS certification


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Master's degree in nursing.

  • Experience managing in a unionized environment


PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • GI/endoscopy-specific certification (e.g., CGRN) preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Knowledge of Endoscopy Regulatory Compliance and standards of practice to ensure departmental compliance

  • Knowledge of EMR systems to manage patient records, procedural documentation, and reporting

  • Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, technology and procedures to supervise safe and effective clinical operations

  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and departments to ensure seamless procedural operations

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office to create, analyze, and report departmental performance metrics, budgets, and procedural documentation


Compensation Range:

$104,000.00- $151,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
