Job Title: Billing Assistant Location: Baltimore, MD 21205 Workplace Type: On-site Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Contract Duration: 3 months (through March) Start Date: December 29, 2025 Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Billing Assistant to join a busy outpatient billing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and billing experience in a healthcare setting who is highly organized and comfortable working with financial systems. Responsibilities * Process patient payments and set up payment plans * Post payments and perform charge entry * Reconcile and review billing data * Enter information into EPIC and work from EPIC work queues to assist with overflow * Support billers with additional administrative tasks as assigned * Perform accurate and timely data entry Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED * 2+ years of administrative experience within a billing team or related function (e.g., prior authorization, AR, patient financial services) in a healthcare setting * Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel * Organized and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications * Experience with EPIC * Familiarity with insurance verification and patient access processes Top Skills * Healthcare billing knowledge * Payment posting and charge entry * Data entry and reconciliation * Customer service Work Environment * Large office setting * 100% on-site, first shift * Business casual dress code Benefits (Eligibility Requirements Apply) * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) retirement plan * Life and disability insurance * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Employee Assistance Program * Paid time off Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
