Job Summary:
- Come join our team! We currently have an exciting opportunity in Westminster, MD for a Material Handler with experience in cycle counting of parts.
Job Description:
- The Material Handler participates in the execution of warehouse operations in an industrial work environment.
- To successfully perform these tasks, it requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
Essential Functions:
- Participates in daily cycle counting of parts in the warehouse.
- Operates a computer and or RF scanner to access, enter, and correct information in the SAP operating system in various areas of the warehouse ex: receiving, high racks, Kardex and shipping.
- Required to operate material handling equipment such as forklift, stand-up trucks, pallet jacks, etc. to stock material, unload, and load trucks.
- Puts away, or stocks materials into assigned warehouse locations including High rack and Kardex/Modula.
- Maintain and safeguard business records.
- Assists with identifying and or providing suggestions regarding process improvements in assigned area.
- Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
Required:
- Minimum 1-2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experienced in cycle counting of parts.
- Experience using MRP systems.
- Forklift experience is required; Forklift Certification is a big plus.
- Shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
- Must be willing work overtime and alternate shifts determined by changes in workload demand.
- Demonstrate a willingness to be cross trained in multiple areas of warehouse operations ex: receiving, high racks, Kardex and shipping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations.
- Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
