Educational Requirements:

Enrolled in a Master's or PhD program at a University outside the USA. Should have expertise in photonics, optics, and electrical engineering.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Perform optical simulations and modal analyses, including wave propagation, resonator design, AWGs, and laser cavity modeling.
  • Conduct RF circuit simulations and characterize high-speed components using S-parameters and driver modeling.
  • Develop lab automation tools using Python, AI frameworks, FPGAs, Red Pitayas, Arduinos, and automated wafer-probing systems.
  • Carry out hands-on experimentation in optical labs, including optical alignment, device characterization, and testing of high-speed communication hardware.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present results; prepare technical papers for conferences and journals; and collaborate with experts across photonics, optical networks, and electronics.
  • Hands-on experience testing electro-optic and photonic devices in laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of optical waveguides, modulators, detectors, and related device physics.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuitry and its interaction with photonic components.
  • Experience working with free-space optical systems and alignment techniques.
  • Familiarity with passive optical devices, including filters, resonators, and interferometer networks.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools for waveguide modeling and optical circuit design.
