Bilingual HR Coordinator (French and English)

To thrive as a Bilingual People Services Coordinator, you'll support our People Services (HR) team by helping create a positive, inclusive, and well-informed workplace. As you will be supporting both Canada and the US, there is a language requirement where you must be able to communicate fluently in both English and French.

This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who wants hands-on experience in a corporate environment as well as individuals with established HR experience who are seeking a flexible, part-time opportunity.

This long-term temporary role allows you to be part of our onsite Santa Ana team for 10-20 hours per week. You'll receive pay and benefits through our staffing agency (Aston Carter) while still having the opportunity to work closely with Behr leaders and gain meaningful hands-on HR experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a friendly and reliable point of contact for team member questions that need additional support beyond the business unit.
  • Assist with coordinating and documenting employee relations activities, including gathering information, preparing notes, and supporting case follow-up.
  • Support the People Services team with research, policy interpretation, and providing general HR guidance to employees and managers
  • Help maintain accurate records, documentation, and HR metrics with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Assist with basic intake for employee concerns, ethics questions, and policy-related inquiries, escalating issues to consultants as needed.
  • Support performance management processes by helping track milestones, documentation, and communication.
  • Build positive relationships with employees and managers, both in person and remotely.
  • Conduct basic exit interview coordination and assist in compiling insights for the HR team.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support HR operations, including scheduling, indexing, documentation updates, and follow-up tasks.
  • Maintain strong judgment and confidentiality while working within established HR policies and practices.
  • Exercise good judgment and expertise within defined policies and practices
  • Maintain ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Consult and build relationships with all levels of teammembers
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather insight into turnover trends
  • Support People Services related training

Requirements

  • You must be bilingual in French and English where you can write and speak both languages in a professional setting (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
  • A completed high school education is required with a preference for a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years1 year in an HR Generalist or equivalent role
  • Experience consulting on Canadian employment laws
  • Experience consulting on multiple employee relations issues that vary in scope and complexity
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
Company: Behr Paint Company Shift 1 (United States of America) Part time Hiring Range: $24.85 - $38.94 Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
