We are searching for a talented Interpreter-III Languages

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Position reports to the Manager, Interpreter Services, or designee. Provide coverage on-site for Interpreter Services as requested. Provide accurate consecutive verbal interpretation . Develop a rhythm of interpretation to enhance the flow of communication between parties. Maintain accurate and timely digital documentation of encounters.
  • Associate degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in a related field is required.
  • Training in medical terminology.
  • Interpersonal skills appropriate for handling sensitive patient and/or employee issues.
  • Fluency in four (4) languages required, including English and three (3) assigned languages.
  • One (1) year related experience preferred. Certificate of completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training program.
  • Certificate of completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training program.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
