Senior Manager - Finance Operations
Location: Remote or Hybrid

We have been exclusively engaged by a dynamic, mid-sized, high-growth services company-backed by a leading private equity firm-to identify a talented Senior Manager of Finance Operations. This organization offers a compelling blend of stability, rapid career growth, direct exposure to executive leadership, and the ability to drive significant impact across the business. Summary:
The Senior Manager, Finance Operations will serve as a key strategic partner to Operations, driving performance insights, operational efficiency, and scalable processes. This leader will be responsible for developing and tracking business metrics, enhancing profitability, partnering with IT/Data teams to generate actionable intelligence, supporting scenario-based modeling, and leading budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a solution-oriented mindset, and a passion for helping an organization scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Operations leadership to understand business performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability.
  • Build and refine financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support scalable growth.
  • Collaborate with IT and Data teams to extract insights from imperfect datasets and convert them into actionable intelligence.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-planning initiatives.
  • Develop and manage operational metrics, KPIs, and performance-tracking frameworks.
  • Support executive leadership with high-impact analysis, presentations, and insights that guide decision-making.
  • Drive process improvement and implement best practices across Finance Operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA from a top-tier program preferred.
  • 4-6+ years of progressive Finance or Operations Finance experience within mid-sized, high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Finance partner to Operations leaders.
  • Expert-level Excel modeling skills, plus experience with planning and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data to derive meaningful insights and influence business decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Preferred backgrounds include investment banking, private equity, or top-tier consulting.
  • A track record of career stability, progression, and measurable impact.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
