Job Summary


Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Operations & Impact, the Program & Events Manager works closely with faculty, senior leadership, and staff to plan and coordinate key aspects of ongoing projects, programs, and initiatives of the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health Program. Key responsibilities include managing and executing complex, high-visibility events and meetings involving influential partners and members of the campus community. Regular international travel is expected. This role will also provide administrative support and project management for operational activities, will coordinate activities of the Advisory Boards, and will support scheduling and other administrative tasks for the Director and Assistant Directors.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate).

Global Brain Health Institute
The Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) works to reduce the scale and impact of dementia by training and supporting a new generation of leaders in brain health. GBHI's unique Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health training program is a 12 month fellowship where trainees come from a wide range of inter-professional backgrounds including doctors, lawyers, writers, artists, caregivers and policy-makers. GBHI competes to attract high quality, international candidates and seeks to raise greater awareness of the program through written materials, social media and a strategic communications. Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for personnel management, academic and staff appointments, and international visa requirements.
  • Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and information sharing skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, purchasing, contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong computer skills incuding high level of comfort with the microsoft suite, especially excel and outlook
  • Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Experience in event planning and logistics
  • Willingness to travel internationally for events multiple times per year

Preferred Qualifications


  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Ability in other foreign languages
  • Event Planning training
