Hospital Dishwasher

We are seeking a Hospital Dishwasher, sometimes referred to as a Dish Room Attendant or Hospital Sanitation Worker. The Hospital Dishwasher ensures all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. They support food service operations by organizing clean items, assisting with meal preparation, and following strict hospital sanitation and infection control standards. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Operate commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washes large pots, pans, and utensils

• Clean and sanitize counters, tables, and equipment while maintaining hygienic work areas

• Sort and store clean dishes, trays, and utensils in proper locations for upcoming meal services

• Assist food service staff with assembling meal trays, setting up cafeteria lines, and transporting carts

• Dispose of food waste, recyclables, and trash according to hospital safety and sanitation rules

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.

County Specific requirement.

1. County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
