Overview

TRC is seeking an Outreach Consultant to support outreach and enrollment in income-qualified residential single and multifamily energy efficiency programs in Kentucky. This position is responsible for leading successful outreach and customer engagement strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations, marketing and field auditors. Experience with utility or energy efficiency programs, multifamily properties, and/or affordable housing is highly desirable. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for conducting outreach to stakeholders such as single property homeowners, multifamily property owners and managers, and community partners to generate leads and drive program participation. This includes but is not limited to: supporting the development of the customer acquisition plan and enrollment strategy, forecasting and achieving program outreach and enrollment goals; working with the marketing team to develop effective program collateral and engagement strategies to increase lead generation; and attending community and industry events that support outreach and enrollment initiatives. This individual will also coordinate with the subcontracted firm that will perform home and property assessments and install energy-saving measures in residential homes and multifamily properties.

You'll be joining a team of collaborative professionals that have a passion for delivering sustainable energy solutions and bridging gaps between low-income customers/disadvantaged communities and funding sources.


Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of increasingly complicated project tasks with limited oversight.
  • Performs work in accordance with budget, timelines and deliverables of projects.
  • Capable of identifying potential project issues, forming hypotheses related to the work being performed and assisting with adoption of processes/methodologies.
  • Ensures program goals are met.
  • Build relationships with partners, clients and customers.
  • Prepare and update materials for trade shows and events.
  • Support the implementation of projects and contribute to developing reports.
  • Deliver marketing materials to help customers understand and participate in energy efficiency programs.
  • Identify outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers.
  • Attend and present at tradeshows and events as necessary, to promote and educate customers and program partners on the benefits of the Program.
  • Developing, conducting, and managing program outreach activities to generate project leads from stakeholders including community action agencies, property owners, and property managers.
  • Managing enrollment key performance indicators (KPIs) and a pipeline of properties to be enrolled.
  • Creating templates and scripts to support outreach and communication efforts.
  • Experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or a similar system to effectively track pipeline/outreach/sales activities.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records to ensure program and contract compliance.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of technical proficiency for consulting with prospective customers regarding participation.
  • Ensuring documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance across the outreach and enrollment team.
  • Work independently, as well as closely with other functional groups, including project coordination and field support.
  • Assist with the training and shadowing of new and existing team members.
  • Gains sector/domain-specific knowledge and develop core skills.
  • Travel expectations within assigned territory.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are not required for an applicant to be considered a candidate for the position.

  • Sales or business development experience, preferably within the energy sector, or the design or construction industries.
  • Energy efficiency-related certifications are a plus, such as Certified Energy Manager (CSM) or LEED AP (LEED Accredited Professional).
  • Experience working with state agencies, public authorities or utilities preferred.
  • Experience with residential single family or multifamily property owners or managers.
  • Experience with income qualified communities.
  • Awareness and familiarity with Kentucky energy efficiency landscape, related regulatory requirements, and key players.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
