As our Director, Strategic Projects, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our executive leadership team to define and execute meaningful change through developing, managing and monitoring strategic cross-departmental initiatives that drive long-term business value. You will help define our strategic objectives and lead execution of key projects and teams with timeliness, accountability, and passion. You will be a corporate athlete, capable of digging deep into the details while able to distil executive and board level insights.

What you'll do:



  • Lead high-visibility and high impact special projects and initiatives critical to NAVEX's strategic priorities and overall value creation/transformation efforts
  • Engage cross-functionally with stakeholders to translate strategy into executable action plans and solutions
  • Collaborate with executive management to develop strategies and implement changes
  • Lead project teams in regular stand-up meetings, progress checks, and problem-solving exercises; identify and mitigate roadblocks
  • Prepare executive level presentations and briefing materials; communicate results and opportunities for review by executive management
  • Maintain project schedules, delegate tasks, identify task dependencies and designate major due dates; ensure cross-functional collaboration
  • Evaluate costs and expected returns/results; manage to budget while tracking ROI and key KPIs
  • Build positive, long-term business relationships across many departments while identifying and driving areas for improvement
  • Constantly assess potential risks and develop solid mitigation strategies to anticipate and overcome obstacles
  • Serve as a key liaison and sounding board to workstreams for the Transformation Office
  • Hone tools, templates and approaches to continuously improve NAVEX's transformation and project management capabilities


What you'll bring:



  • A bachelor's degree in business or related degree (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, project management and change management; global and PE-backed company experience desired
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills to support data analysis and executive presentations/briefings
  • Ability to identify, scope, and manage initiatives, projects, tasks, and risks
  • Ability to learn and understand a complex process and identify root causes of failure and areas of improvement
  • Demonstrated experience building excellent relationships, directing meetings, facilitating technical discussions, and coaching teams to solve problems
  • Ability to set and manage goals and deadlines and be self-directed
  • Methodical and data-driven approach to problem solving, giving the ability to provide practical and efficient solutions
  • Quality approach to work, with an appreciation for procedures and controls
  • A flexible and highly positive outlook with superb organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence
