Overview

Job Purpose

The Senior Solutions Engineer is an expert in ICE Mortgage Technology's full suite of products and platforms, with deep technical, design, and functional knowledge spanning both mortgage origination and servicing. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the business benefits and operational workflows associated with both origination and servicing processes. The Senior Solutions Engineer collaborates across Sales, Client Management, Business Development, and PSO teams to engage with customer operational, technical, and development stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include gathering requirements and delivering best-practice solutions to complex business needs for both origination and servicing clients. The Senior Solutions Engineer must be adept at identifying client issues, scoping additional opportunities, and supporting Sales, Client Management, Business Development, and PSO in selling and cross-selling ICE Mortgage Technology's origination and servicing products and related services, tailored to each client's business model and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor team members within the Solutions Engineering Team to ensure broad expertise across all mortgage technology solutions.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing education for Sales and Business Development Teams, covering the full product suite.
  • Manage and support demo environments that showcase the capabilities of ICE Mortgage Technology products.
  • Participate in discovery for system updates and conversion projects, addressing both origination and servicing needs.
  • Provide demonstration support across all ICE Mortgage Technology products, including Encompass LOS, TPO Connect, Consumer Connect, Data Connect, Data and Document Automation, Custom Acquisition, MSP, and other applications.
  • Serve as the product liaison for new releases, authoring demo content that highlights key enhancements.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of mortgage industry terminology and workflows.
  • Analyze and compare departmental workflows, architecting best practice demonstrations.
  • Assist sales representatives in preparing responses to RFI and RFP requests.
  • Provide sales support for referring lenders to the Marketplace.
  • Document and support related questions, providing feedback to Account Management teams.
  • Assist in case queue management and support to ensure SLAs are met for all clients.
  • Identify, position, and assist sales representatives in cross-selling ICE Mortgage Technology products and services.

Knowledge and Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of consulting and consultative selling for enterprise software solutions, with direct experience in both mortgage origination and/or servicing.
  • 8+ years of mortgage banking and/or servicing experience, including multi-channel, secondary, and trades experience (desired).
  • Experience managing mortgage production and operational teams (desired).
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Business analysis experience (as in Product Management) is a plus.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting client-server and mission-critical software solutions for both origination and servicing in the mortgage industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and relevant operating systems.
  • Experience with XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, .NET, JavaScript, scripting, and full stack development.
  • Experience with .NET programming languages, network configuration, database architecture, and cloud deployment strategies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Strong technical documentation and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple enterprise clients at various phases of the pre-sale and post-sale process for both origination and servicing solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Business Management, or equivalent certifications and experience (degree strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience with enterprise software configuration and administration, including Encompass/MSP Administration and/or other enterprise loan origination and servicing system experience.
