POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for assisting teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Coordinate resources, schedules, performance metrics and financials of specially assigned projects including vendor relationships. Maintain awareness of issues, risks, and project changes to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enable project(s) to ensure overall direction is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
2. Assist in the preparation of estimates and detailed project plans and raise awareness to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
3. Play a key role in a comprehensive and efficient process to establish priorities and milestones for project(s) that understand interdependencies between vendors and business needs
4. Support all aspects of project engagement from the day-to-day activities, resources and conduct meetings to engage with external vendor relationships, including communications, resources, budget, changes, risks, and issues
5. Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand
6. Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
7. Analyze organizational, functional, team and/or project needs to provide recommendations including return on investment and cost-benefit analysis leading to successful strategies and execution plans
8. Report on project results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
9. Build and maintain solid relationships with management and business process owners throughout FedEx Freight
10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
11. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related quantitative discipline or equivalent experience plus three (3) years direct experience in project management or process improvement profession
  • Certification such as SAFe Program Consultant (PC), Scaled Agilist (SA), Prosci Change Management, Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or QDM Expert preferred
  • Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
