AES Clean Energy is seeking an experienced and innovative Project Scheduler to support the AES Scheduling team. The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules across utility-scale renewable energy projects to include PV, BESS and HV. This role ensures cross-functional alignment, supporting Development, Pre-Construction and Execution, and drives schedule accuracy while contributing to the success of AES's EPC Business Operations Unit through proactive planning, risk mitigation, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging practices, and new technology initiatives in scheduling, proactively recommending innovative tools and techniques to enhance performance.
  • Collaborates closely with project managers and key stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and shared understanding of project objectives.
  • Provides proactive support and backup to fellow schedulers, ensuring adherence to established project controls principles, processes, and methodologies.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates project schedules, delivering regular project status reports including key performance indicators, critical-path updates, and risk assessments.
  • Monitors contract compliance and reports potential issues to relevant stakeholders, ensuring obligations are tracked and managed effectively.
  • Tracks project progress relative to approved plans, identifies deviations, and recommends corrective actions based on performance analysis.
  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of project scheduling processes and procedures aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and escalates project risks while recommending mitigation strategies to ensure schedule integrity and project success.
  • Leads project scheduling meetings and provides insights on performance, including schedule adherence, critical path, and risk exposures.
  • Collaborates with Estimating and Labor Compliance teams to support efficient operations within the EPC Business Operations Unit.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to leverage these tools for enhanced planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Proven ability in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Effective collaboration and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies.

Work Experience

3-5 years of experience in Project Scheduling or Project Controls within the renewable energy, construction, or EPC sectors is preferred.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $74,000 and $88,825/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
