We are seeking an Outreach Manager who can empower and excite market actors to accelerate the energy efficiency programs we deliver for utility clients to advance clean energy and equity for all.

Our ideal Outreach Manager has experience in sales, marketing, or communications, with an ability to identify and develop opportunities within growing market sectors and building partnerships. Show us how you engage and collaborate with lead prospects to create interest and drive participation in utility energy efficiency programs.

This position will be responsible for recruiting customers into utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, working with key stakeholders across the design and development industries.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. While our physical offices are in Madison, WI and Chicago, IL, we have remote staff in many other states and are currently looking for candidates based in Michigan.

What you'll do:



  • Identify potential energy efficiency projects and recruit program participants.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to identify new leads and follow-up on existing projects.
  • Manage, maintain, and prospect a territory and/or market sector.
  • Assist program participants in developing and implementing individualized plans for continued program participation.
  • As needed, provide market providers and/or utility customers with assistance preparing incentive applications and review draft applications for accuracy.
  • Track projects and program changes to identify, strategize, and develop communications efforts.
  • Represent clients at industry events.
  • Develop and make presentations to industry groups and trade associations to raise awareness of the program.
  • Develop outreach processes to track and report on outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate the delivery and re-supply of program marketing materials.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet customer and program needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Program Managers to identify ways to improve marketing and outreach efforts



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of work-related experience in outreach, sales, account management, building partnerships
  • Excellent project management skills (CRM tool experience such as Salesforce experience is a plus but not a requirement).
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.



Work Environment



  • Fully remote position with the ability to work from home or another suitable location with reliable internet access.

  • Flexible schedules, meetings generally occurring 9-4 in Central Time zone.
  • Requires a quiet and professional workspace for virtual meetings and collaboration.
  • Travel required: 25%



Physical Requirements



  • Primarily a sedentary role, with tasks typically performed while sitting or occasionally standing
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Tasks demand visual focus for reading and working on screens.
  • This position frequently communicates via phone and video conferencing, with in-person interactions as applicable.
