Overview

In this role as a Technical Program Representative - Construction Support, the selected candidate will be required to:

    provide technical oversight for the D686 VCS Program Office Aft End team
  • Disposition/review engineering reports, address design issues, provide UNSAT responses, ensure timely resolution, and work independently.
  • Establish program plans, continuously monitor VCS Aft End area's performance and development/implementation of corrective action when plans and performance misalign.
  • Assist in review and approval critical decisions involving schedule, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Develop timely engineering resolutions in consideration of an aggressive construction schedule and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Approve material risk releases via ER's, VIR's, VPAR, etc.
  • Approve material diversions
  • Identify and plan for risks across both programs and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Identify risks that are increased by an aggregation of both programs or are unique at the enterprise level (a result of a combination from both programs).
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of senior EB and Navy leadership briefings.
  • Assist SCM Cog Engineers in oversight of material contraints
  • Ensure awareness and compliance to established policies, procedures, regulations and requirements


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering
  • 1+ years in a role using demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Currently working within EB Waterfront Engineering Community
  • Working knowlege of Sequence Critical Material contraints
  • Experience/knowledge of submarine construction
  • Experience interfacing directly with Operations personnel
  • Experience/knowledge of 3G, 7G, and EWP/PCM business systems
  • Familiar with shipyard new-construction practices and procedures


Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of JCALS, ER/CR/CN processes, and technical disposition documentation
  • Familiarity with Virginia class construction frameworks and arrangements
  • Self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate needs and demonstrate initiative
  • Eagerness to learn about the company's overall operations and the workflow between various functional areas contributing to EB's submarine deliveries to the U.S. Navy
  • Quick learner with enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge about new functional domains and business processes
