Inventory Control Supervisor

Primary Purpose:The Inventory Control Supervisor position ensures the accuracy of a multi-level inventory system within the Wood Division. This entails day to day accuracy, constant evolution of the processes involved, and requires a personal commitment to see things through to completion and resolution. A candidate for this position must be self-motivated, require little to no direction, and a solid understanding of the inventory control system within the ERP.

Job Duties:



  • Manage all cycle count programs and deliver consistent and accurate results.
  • Assign and monitor work of all inventory control personnel, provide expectations, achieve objectives, and provide feedback
  • Establish, monitor, and meet expectations for inventory KPIs.
  • Conduct physical inventory as needed
  • Execute inventory transactions utilizing ERP and RF systems
  • Research and resolve inventory and transaction related issues utilizing ERP system (QAD), discussion with personnel and physical counts
  • Identify root cause of inventory issues. Establish procedures, audits, and tools to address recurring issues.
  • Train all production associates in the relevant inventory control processes
  • Hold accountability to the execution of processes for all personnel
  • Manage the usage/disposal of obsolete inventories in accordance with OC Doors Inventory Disposal policy
  • Provide procedural support to production floor associates
  • Ability to quickly adapt to current conditions and to multi-task efficiently and effectively


Qualifications:



  • BS or BA Degree in Business preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of inventory control experience; in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Internet, E-mail, Microsoft Office, and communication tools.
  • MUST HAVE STRONG leadership, oral and written presentation communication skills, team player mentality, negotiation skills, self-motivated and a contributor attitude.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment, changing production demands and also a willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed if project demands.


Physical Environment:



  • Exposure to normal factory environment: wood dust, heat, and noise. Employee must be able to withstand heat more than 95 degrees.
