Description

To provide instruction to physician assistant students assigned to a hubsite.
1. Facilitating PBL group.
2. Arranging supervised clinical experiences.
3. Attend meetings three times per year.
4. Act as liaison between preceptors and students in the program.


Examples of Duties

I. Teaching 75%
1. Provide instruction one 1/2 day per week.
2. Act a mentor and advisor to the students.
3. Administer unit tests.
II. Service 0%

III. Administration 25%
1. Attend meetings three times per year.
2. Assist with finding cooperating healthcare professionals for nine clinical rotations.
IV. Research 0%


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
2. Master's degree in a related medical field.
3. Must be familiar with the role of a physician assistant.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Proficiency in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method of curriculum delivery.
2. NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant.


Supplemental Information

The budgeted monthly salary range is $1,407 to $1,548. The final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints.
