What You Can Expect

This position will be located on the University of Iowa Campus, and requires enrollment at the University. The intern will support Water Treatment Services. This group operates the University of Iowa Main Campus and Oakdale Water Treatment Plants, and provides high-quality water across campus.

Daily, the Intern will assist with completing tasks regarding the monitoring of water production, coordination and reporting with Metering groups, customer usage for billing. This role requires use of a variety of common, and proprietary software, advanced Excel skills would be helpful.

This Internship will commence in early January and is scheduled to continue until December 31, 2026.

Objectives:



  • Enter data for monthly billing of UI campus water usage and help update permits
  • Monitor water treatment systems through data analysis
  • Data entry to facilitate compliance monitoring of public water systems
  • Communicate with other staff and university employees
  • Generate and distribute monthly reports for billing and consumption
  • Maintain records and databases
  • Collect data from Metering Group



What You'll Bring



  • Student must be currently enrolled in the University of Iowa and maintain enrollment throughout the internship
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (Tables, V-lookups)
  • An academic focus on Engineering, Construction Management, Business or other relevant program



Additional Details



  • All Iowa City based internships are located on the University Campus
  • This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily basis
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate, and present information to management effectively, both written and verbally, and digitally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy



Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.50 - $32.00 hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
