Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a part-time Document Translation Intern. This position will support multiple areas of the organization in translation efforts, auditing, reviewing, and standardizing documentation for both internal and external use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Intern, Document Translation (Part-Time) will support multiple areas of the organization with the following duties and responsibilities:

    Review and translate marketing communication into French.
  1. Review, test, and verify website updates in the French language.
  2. Update French Sales Hub by auditing, translating, testing, and communicating documentation internally.
  3. Draft collection communications using French templates for use in Quebec.
  4. Review and communicate updates of Quebec Purchase Order terms and conditions.
  5. Review Quebec (French) agreements, including identifying key financial components, preparing English translations, and creating master documentation for shared service reference.
  6. Review French RFP documents, translate key sections for internal teams, and prepare responses translated from English to French.
  7. Prepare first draft translations and redline technical documents.
  8. Prepare first draft translations for product and user manuals.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Individual Education & Training Required for Position: Training required for this position is defined and governed in accordance to COP-0013 Associate Training and will be assigned in the LMS.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills required.
  • Working experience with documentation audit, revision, translation, testing, and communication is preferred.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Working proficiency in French required.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
  • Experience with SmartCat and SalesHub preferred.
  • Knowledge of the technical documentation revision process is preferred.

The hourly pay for this role is $18.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
