The Courier Team Lead will help drive the day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring efficient coordination, and driving continuous improvement within the logistics department. This position will report to the Logistics Supervisors and the Logistics Manager. PAY AND SCHEDULE: Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Compensation: $20.00 per hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist Logistics supervisors and manager in coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and transportation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and reduce operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for shipments, inventory, and other logistics activities.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency initiatives to enhance overall logistics performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Warehouse Duties:
- Help manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Implement effective inventory control measures, including regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
Courier Duties:
- Picks up, transports and delivers samples, documents, materials and other items as needed.
- Reviews, completes and processes documents, databases, and related materials and information for sample pick up, transport and delivery.
- Prepares vehicle or truck for daily operations, including documents, safety, and related areas.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a closely related field preferred but not required
- AND three (3) years of professional experience in logistics/courier management;
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Active driver's license
Required Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of logistics management
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, resources modeling, and coordination of people and resources.
- Principles and practices of financial/statistical analysis.
- Advanced principles and practices of developing teams, motivating employees, and managing in a team environment.
- Applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Computer applications and systems related to the work.
- Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Principles and techniques of making effective oral presentations.
- Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

- Planning, organizing, and administering assigned activities, programs, and projects.
- Experience with helping make business decisions
- Training others on company policies and other requirements of the job
- Leading effective work teams and motivating individuals to meet goals and objectives and provide customer services most cost-effectively and efficiently.
