Aon is looking for a Product Owner!

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by providing responsive, accurate, and professional product owner insights and decisions that will elevate the quality, value, and performance of our Reinsurance structuring, analysis, and placement product.

Job Responsibilities:

As part of the Reinsurance Analytics Product Innovation and Development (RAPID) team, you will be in an integral part of ensuring that our clients and colleagues have a voice in guiding roadmaps, a source of accurate knowledge, and a champion of the value of each product. In addition to the below, you will also be responsible for discovering and growing the potential revenues and/or efficiencies that our varied product suite provides.

  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager by defining strategies for the product.
  • Ensure a cohesive product vision is agreed upon and persistently visible to stakeholders.
  • Manage the product roadmap based on the vision and product managers strategic inputs.
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on changing requirements.
  • Contributing to all stages of product operations with an emphasis on discovery and design.
  • Defining KPIs and monitoring them as functionality is deployed.
  • Working with the product team and end-users to deliver training, insights, and release updates.
  • Participate and help manage stand-ups, discover sessions, and user acceptance testing.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 3-5 years of Insurance, Reinsurance, Broking, and/or Catastrophe Modeling experience.
  • 3-5 years of product owner experience, preferably within the Insurance or Reinsurance industry.
  • 1-3 years working within an Agile software development lifecycle management.
  • Ability to quickly learn software programs of a complex nature.
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic with a self-starter's mentality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well with others both externally and internally.
  • Well-rounded communication skills and ability to interact with variety of audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple assignments, work well with minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Desired Software Experience
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office software, including Outlook and Visio
  • Azure DevOps / Jira
  • Monday.com / Asana / MS Dynamics
  • Figma
  • Databricks
  • SQL Servicer Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Power BI

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a STEM field, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent experience.

Pay transparency laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $145,000 to $155,000 USD annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
