Oversees the timely processing of incoming mail to ensure all vendor correspondence is handled according to established procedures. Prepares and reviews invoice packages (to include matching of invoices to purchase orders) and check requests for processing within the accounting information system. Prepares weekly cash requirement needs listing. Processes accounts payable check payments and/or wire transfers, as needed.

Maintains accurate listing of active and approved vendors. Monitor's vendor account balances to ensure timely payment. Acts as liaison between Hospital and vendor to resolve vendor discrepancies and payment inquires.

Assists with preparation of month end accounts payable reporting. Responsible for proper record-keepingof all accounts payable documentation. Also maintains the petty cash system for the Finance office and ensure it is always in balance and performsother tasks, as assigned.

I. Major Responsibilities:

5. Maintains accurate listing of active and approved vendors.
6. Assists with preparation of month end reporting.
7. Maintains proper documentation.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:
Required:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. 1 to 3 Years Accounts Payable &/or General Ledger Experience.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
