JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY The Van Driver is responsible for scheduling and transporting residents safely to and from various locations. The team member assures maintenance of facility vehicles in a safe and clean operating condition. performs all other responsibilities as assigned. Communication: Communicates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority.
Quality: Reviews processes, identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
Patient Service: Actively participates in identifying areas of opportunity to improve the experience for patients and guests.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 1 year of experience working in long-term care or assisted living preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: CPR/First Aid/AED within 60 days of hire required. Virginia Driver's license in good standing required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must have ability to drive 14-passenger bus. VA Drivers record in good standing. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: 19A, Driver Work Function/Activity: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand The job requires sitting, standing, walking constantly, and frequently bending/stooping, climbing ladders and stairs. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
