Job Title: Technician III

Employment Type: Contract to Perm

Pay rate: $32-35/hr



Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technician III to join our client's team. In this role, you will manufacture and test electro-mechanical assemblies for autonomous systems and auxiliary equipment, ensuring alignment with drawing specifications. You will perform integration, assembly, troubleshooting, and testing while collaborating with engineering and software development teams to resolve system-level issues.



Key Responsibilities


  • Perform integration, assembly, and testing of new systems, vehicles, and auxiliary equipment based on work instructions and assembly drawings.



  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting with engineering/software teams to identify and correct system-level problems.



  • Read and interpret diagnostic data and technical schematics.



  • Set up and operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other electronic input/output devices.



  • Perform basic soldering tasks.



  • Troubleshoot PWBA's, assemblies, and modules, including complex analog and digital circuits down to the component level.



  • Recommend improvements to current procedures and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing new processes.



  • Produce sufficient quantities of working PWBA's, assemblies, or modules to support the Master Production Schedule.



  • Collaborate with Engineering to discuss technical problems encountered during troubleshooting or testing.





Additional Duties


  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.



  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions.



  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed formats.



  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.



  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions. (Note: excludes technicians working in production or quality assurance.)





Qualifications


  • Associate's degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma/equivalent and 5 years of related experience.



  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.





Preferred Certifications


  • J-STD soldering certification (or ability to obtain).



  • IPC 610 certification - Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (or ability to obtain).



  • IPC 620 certification - Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (or ability to obtain).
