Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Lab Technicians, Slurry Technicians
  • Ensure lab testing, slurry production
  • Ensure adequacy of related training and quality of tests and inspections
  • Ensure adherence to related written procedures and work instructions
  • Monitor, analyze data, and take action to improve quality and productivity of direct reports
  • Ensure adequate supply of various related raw materials and completion of required receiving inspections
  • Conduct employee reviews, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed
  • Ensure communication of material issues and work with quality and engineering to drive resolution
  • Review and approve quality documentation related to areas of responsibility
  • Attend and participate in related production meetings
  • Initiate and implement improvements for departmental safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and organization of related areas
  • Ensure ongoing safe work practices in all related areas
  • Ensure adequate housekeeping and workplace organization based on 6S principles in related areas
  • Report to Quality or Engineering Manager

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or other technical degree
  • Prior experience in supervision
  • Experience with performing or coordinating testing and inspection
