Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Los Angeles, CA Interested? The Analytical Lab Technician will be accountable for conducting tests and preparing documentation for specialty gas cylinders. Apply quality control procedures to samples submitted for approval in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform routine analytical work on medical and specialty gases using various types of analytical equipment, including gas chromatographs and process analyzers. Performs routine quality control testing procedures on raw materials and products per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Utilizes or adapts standard methods of procedure May generate certificates of analysis for pure products and mixtures Test cylinders for safety and fill cylinders to the needed specifications, following routine procedures Coordinates electronic analytical tests to ensure gas mixtures meet customer requirements Evaluates all medical gases for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance before releasing for delivery to customers Ensures the lab is maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly condition Performs routine maintenance on instruments, scales, and pumps Produce, maintain, and inventory records of calibration, test data records, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) medical gas paperwork Interacts effectively with other work groups Determine the pass/fail status of production samples submitted to the lab and perform the final cylinder inspection/application of certificates and labels. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Science Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an industrial lab environment Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Industrial/Specialty Gas experience Familiarity with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers Able to work independently and be self-motivated Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
