This position reports to the CFO. Primary responsibility is to work with CFO in developing and maintaining models in conjunction with Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, Student Experience and others to use for budget development and forecasting future years revenues and expenses. This position will work with the CFO and divisional budget managers to develop and maintain the models supporting the position and operating expense budgets and projections. Projections include operating budgets, full nancial statements and nancial ratios for multiple years. Budget development includes separately budgeting for the Statutory and Private sectors as well as reporting on the consolidated budget and projections. Works as part of a Financial Analyst team to ensure that all monthly budget variances are tracked and included in ongoing projections and forecasts; while at the same time ensuring that all software systems and models are up to date. Performs analysis, reconciliations and prepares other reports as needed.
Salary:$99,224-$104,937 Annually
Essentail Functions:
- Work with CFO, Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, Student Experience, Academics, University Advancement and others to develop and maintain all revenue models
- Works with CFO, Financial Analyst and divisions to develop, project and forecast all revenue and expenses quarterly
- Develops the budget for approval by CFO and Cabinet for presentation to the board of trustees for approval at the May meeting
- Maintains the separation of Statutory and Private budgets
- Projects the Financial Statements and Ratios quarterly
- Assist Controller in the update and maintenance of the cash projection modeling
- Assists divisions with budget analysis and reporting
- Designs and maintains models to evaluate ROI impact of new programs and initiatives and ensure accountability to the expected ROI going forward
- Assists in the preparation of Board related communications and meeting
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cross-train with Financial Analyst to run and analyze monthly closing reports
- Assist with year end audit reconciliations and analysis as needed

- Supports and assists in creating intersections for faculty, sta and students that will assist in transforming people's lives
- Supports and assists in creating an evolving culture of mentoring and rich engagement opportunities for faculty, sta, and students

Only the authorized individual can release account information to the person, or persons listed in the chart of accounts. Accuracy and attention to detail is at the heart of every task. This position is subject to continuous interruptions and requires the ability to maintain concentration and focus along with a pleasing disposition

Qualifications-Education & Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Formal Education:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree required.
- Experience:
- 5 years of budgeting, modeling and projecting experience required
- Knowledge:
- A working functional knowledge of Accounting and ERP Systems such as STC Banner
- Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Procedures
- Understanding of nancial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership
- Substantial working knowledge (education or work-related experience) of Project Management methodology and/or Business Process Analysis is essential
- A working functional knowledge of Project Management Software such as Asana and AchieveIt
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning best practices
- Understanding of higher education administration operations and best practices
- Advanced Prociency in Microsoft Oce (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Additional Knowledge/Skills:
- Work/school records would conrm the existence of superior skills or attributes in the following areas: sound judgment, discretion, dependability, organizational and interpersonal skills, professional work output, energy and enthusiasm, ability to interact with all levels of the AU community and constituents, diplomacy, initiative, function independently with only occasional review and direction. Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, open oce environment and prioritize. Position requires the strictest level of condentiality.
