Quantitative Analyst I-Business Operations, Modeling and Analytics

Overview

This is a hybrid role in Raleigh, NC with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. Three days a week in office.

This Quantitative Analyst Risk Analytics will be part of the Business Operations team in Modeling and Analytics group within Bank's Finance organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the model and platform requirements, and related communication, between M&A Model Operations team and the Treasury (including CCAR Stress Testing requirements). The role will be responsible for building and maintaining backlog of requirements and working with the Model Ops team lead in prioritizing the requirements for implementation. Additionally, the role will be responsible for maintaining project deliverable documentation and for maintaining weekly touchpoints with the project stakeholders to provide comprehensive project status. Analyst Business Operations will also liaise with Bus. Ops ACL (accounting for credit losses) lead to identify any overlapping requirement. The role is fast paced and provides the opportunity to gain cross-functional exposure across several key areas of the Bank and will report to Senior Director, Business Operations, Modeling and Analytics (M&A) Group.


Responsibilities

  • Process improvement - Leads the successful execution of (and works on improving) interaction model between M&A Model Ops team and Treasury and M&A's modeling teams
  • Analysis - Regularly analyze the requirements from Treasury and maintain them in a streamlined backlog to be easily reviewed with the Model Ops team lead
  • Model and Business Support - Sets meeting agendas, tracks action items, and maintains requirements related deliverables including the user acceptance criteria

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis experience

Preferred skills:

* Strong organizational skills to manage near and long-term deliverables
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to craft appropriate communication for effective stakeholder management
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Project and Visio
* Knowledge of one more of the following is strong preferred-Project management skills such as Agile or Scrum
* Entry level or better proficiency in coding (R, Python, SAS, SQL, VBA) and database query (SQL) is a plus
