The Maintenance Technician I, II, or III is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plant's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Tech II and III may be asked to fill in as a Maintenance Team Leader when needed. The Maintenance Technician level will be determined on the required qualifications, functional experience, and system or knowledge level. The Glasgow Tenneco team would prefer a candidate that has experience with robotics, a strong electrical background in factory automation with the ability to troubleshoot and repair photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servos, variable frequency drives, linear scales, tachometers, and encoders. A qualified Maintenance Technician would also possess the required knowledge in the following:
Preference would go to the candidate that has knowledge of lean manufacturing, and PLC troubleshooting/programming skills including CPU, back planes, I/O Boards, high speed counters, modules, devices, and communications.
