Short Description

We are looking for highly resourceful and motivated students to join our Supply Chain Internship Program.

  • The Supply Chain team is dedicated to the management of goods and services in a responsible manner to deliver value for the Health Care System, improve the patient experience and reduce risks to our staff and customers.

Supply Chain functions at Cooper are divided into several strategic divisions:

  • The Strategic Sourcing Division is tasked with upstream sourcing assessments of market activity, contract portfolio, and supplier relationships and is responsible for providing proactive recommendations on any upcoming needs for service contract renewals, rebids or RFPs.
  • The Procurement Division is responsible for the purchasing and obtaining of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the Health Care System to meet its organizational objectives.
  • The Distribution Division is responsible for performing functions to balance supply and demand through the implementation of technology, workflow processes, and labor management.
  • The Inventory Optimization Division ensures product control is managed efficiently by implementing tools, technology, processes, and techniques to track inventory in real time, forecast demand, set appropriate PAR levels and reorder points, and optimize storage.
  • The Data Management Division collects, organizes, and accesses data to support productivity, efficiency, and decision-making.

The intern will partner with team members across all divisions of the Supply Chain to work on a variety of analysis, operational, financial, and practical application projects covering all facets of the healthcare supply chain industry.

The internship will give you the opportunity to work on real world problems. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the healthcare supply chain ecosystem and will have the opportunity to work with business leaders to define problems and communicate outcomes.
