The Domain Architect serves as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with customers to understand their needs. They capture critical stakeholder inputs and translate them into clear requirements and effective solutions. Leveraging the Nokia portfolio of products, systems, and services-along with third-party solutions where necessary-they specify and design comprehensive end-to-end architectures, including customer-specific adaptations. By applying established solution architecture standards, processes, and principles, they ensure and maintain the technical integrity of solutions over time.


  • Develop customer-specific architectures within a dedicated area of expertise.
  • Identify the relevant BGs and coordinate cross-BG activities during the initial phase of solution development.
  • Capture and manage both functional and non-functional requirements, applying industry best practices.
  • Specify and design effective end-to-end solutions-covering both high-level and low-level architecture-to meet customer needs and strengthen market positioning.
  • Research, design, plan, develop, and evaluate solutions in specialized domains, ensuring customer requirements and outcomes are achieved through robust architectural design.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity; manage day-to-day staff issues, including resource allocation and workload distribution.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in the AAA domain, including solution design, architecture, and planning.
  • Experience supporting and managing installation, integration, acceptance testing, operations & maintenance, and ongoing modifications (including upgrades and configuration changes) for Nokia AAA solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver requirements definition, low-level design, installation/integration MOPs, element-level integration of products/solutions, and end-to-end acceptance test plans.
  • Experience supporting the Nokia GSS team for AAA solutions during sales phases.
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements, with the ability to collaborate with Sales/Presales teams on AAA use cases and requirements.
  • Expertise in reviewing technical requirements, preparing MOPs, and developing both LLDs and HLDs.
  • Ability to provide technical clarifications on AAA activities to customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Deep expertise in RADIUS, DIAMETER, LDAP, and SOAP protocols.
  • Familiarity with security algorithms/protocols such as EAP-SIM/AKA/AKA', PAP, CHAP, TLS/TTLS, etc.
  • Knowledge of AAA functionality and usage across multiple networks (3G/4G/5G, WLAN, WiMAX, DSL, etc.).
  • Experience with 3G/LTE/5G network architecture, integration with diverse network components, and execution of various call flows.
  • Cloud-native experience with containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Scripting experience at the Unix/Linux level.
  • Experience with VMware vCloud Director and OpenStack (certification is an added advantage).
  • Strong TCP/IP knowledge; IP and cloud certifications (e.g., CCNA).
