| Position Highlights |
We are seeking multiple Instruction Associates to assist with teaching anatomy during the fall semester for College of Medicine - Phoenix first-year medical students. The Instruction Associate will be required to watch and be knowledgeable about all lectures and lab materials, teach in all assigned labs in the course, provide open lab review sessions prior to each exam, to help set-up, proctor, and break down each exam.. The laboratory is located in the Health Science Education Building on the downtown Phoenix Biomedical Campus. We are recruiting for multiple hires for this position. This is not a permanent hire position. The length of employment for this position varies between August and December. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Under supervision by a faculty member,teach dissection-based human gross anatomy to UofA medical students,
including: - Watching and being knowledgeable about all lectures, lab materials, and teaching in all assigned labs in the course
- Providing open lab review sessions prior to each exam
- Completing competency evaluations for students
- Helping to set up, proctor, and break down practical exams
- Participating
in weekly instructor meetings to communicate with block and lab leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/ individuals.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and job functions.
- Mastery of human gross anatomy and ability to communicate relevant information.
- Skills in public speaking and facilitating small group learning activities.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Successful completion of graduate level human anatomy course, including full body human dissection.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- At least one year of teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in a dissection-based gross anatomy course for a graduate, medical, and/or allied health students.
